I'm Mabel Lee, the visionary behind Mabel Lee Photography. Photography isn't just my profession—a deep-seated passion that has driven me to capture the world's fleeting moments and turn them into lasting memories.
My style blends minimalism with thoughtful composition, emphasizing black and white, abstracts, close-up architectural and floral photography, and environmental portraits. Each image is a part of a larger narrative, spotlighting the unique beauty and essence of its subject and setting.
My professional work began in earnest after a transformative photography course in Massachusetts and Maine where I embraced the calm and contemplative style that defines my work today.
Throughout my career, I have focused on capturing expressions and moods with a spontaneity that reveals the unspoken beauty of fleeting moments.
In the year 2000, I held my first solo exhibition, "Thru the Lens," which showcased a collection of my early works both in color and black-and-white, taken during my travels and featuring a series of black-and-white abstracts. This was followed in 2001 by my second exhibition, "Quiet Corners," where I explored the serenity and understated beauty of architectural spaces and landscapes, emphasizing compositions that highlight line, form, and pattern without the noise of crowded scenes.
I have been honored with several awards from the Master Photographers Association, including merits in Black & White (2002), Contemporary (2002), and Fashion & Illustrative (2002), and an award in Wedding Photography (2003). These accolades recognize my originality and technical excellence, underlining my commitment to the art of photography.
Today, I continue to seek out the incidental beauty in quiet corners around the world, always aiming to bring out the silent stories waiting to be told. My photographs strive to be timeless, capturing simple yet powerful moments that resonate deeply.
Thank you for visiting my site. I am eager to share my vision with you and capture the moments that truly matter.
